Slaney A`s Win 6 th. Cup (over 31 seasons)

Having failed to retain the Med Bar Cup recently, Slaney A`s bounced back to win the Divisional Cup. Up against Nurney, Slaney took the lead from a fine finish from Dominic Byrne > a lead they held for most of the game. But the newest Premier side, Nurney equalised in last ten minutes and took the lead in extra time and looked the more likely winners. Slaney had to dig deep to turn this one around and showed great character, that in the space of six minutes, they equalised from a spot kick from Dominic Byrne and Alan Ryan finished off a pass from Declan Brennan to bring the Cup back to Rathvilly. With this win, Slaney I`st. team got back to winning ways in Cup finals > having played seven > lost one and won six > Normal Service Has Resumed!
